Welcome To My Big D Climb Personal Fundraising Page.
I will be participating in the Big D Climb (again) on Saturday, January 27, 2018. Please support me if you can, with a donation. Our efforts will help make a big difference in the fight against blood cancers. This will be my 3rd Year participating in the Big D Climb. And I do so in Honor of my Grandfather who passed from Lukemia.
What is the Big D Climb?
The Big D Climb is a stair climb up 70 stories of Bank of America Plaza in Downtown Dallas. Although it will be challenging, it pales in comparison to what blood cancer patients go through. All proceeds benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Who is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society?
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. The mission of LLS is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Since its founding in 1949, LLS has invested more than $600 million for research specifically targeting blood cancers.
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well. Any donations of $25 or greater, check to see if your place of employment has a matching donation program.
On behalf my Grandfather (Alexander Oakes) and countless other Blood Cancer patients, I thank you for your support!
