Welcome To My Big D Climb Personal Fundraising Page
Welcome To My Big D Climb Personal Fundraising Page.
Just to give you a little background history as to why I do this. In 2015, my mom was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) and passed away 8 short days later. A friend of mine told me about the climb and knowing it was to raise money for LLS, I signed up immediately. Last year, my 1st year to do this, I raised $5050.00 and then was asked to be on the Big D Climb Planning Committee.
LLS.org raises money to further research for blood cancers. Finally, (after 40 years) there is a new drug to help with AML!! A friend of ours is living proof this new drug works.
Please consider donating to this cause, even just a small donation will go a long ways. Some is better than nothing.
I will be participating in the Big D Climb on Saturday, January 27, 2018. Please support me with a donation. Our efforts will help make a big difference in the fight against blood cancers.
What is the Big D Climb?
The Big D Climb is a stair climb up 70 stories of Bank of America Plaza in Downtown Dallas. Although it will be challenging, it pales in comparison to what blood cancer patients go through. All proceeds benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Who is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society?
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. The mission of LLS is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Since its founding in 1949, LLS has invested more than $600 million for research specifically targeting blood cancers.
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere I thank you for your support!
